I find your taste in my mouth,
(your name on my lips)—
As my name is on yours.
Full of all sweetness;
(for our hearts are bitter pills
we've swallowed)
Your scent stamped upon my heart
(under the burns of hurt)
Lingering; within tissue
like forgotten memories...
that struggle against remember
(because we can't)
As the rough heat; of breath
between now, later
(and the numerous befores)
lick the tendrils;
and catch against my temple
(we fall away from
this planet)
